Ukraine: Agrarians have sown 4.2 mil ha of barley

As of Apr 19, agrarians have sown spring barley at 4,172.000 ha (102% total planned), reported Ministry of Agrarian Policy press-service, according to Agro Perspectiva, April 23.

As to press-service, initially agrarians had planned to sow spring barley at total 4.1 mn ha.

Reportedly, as of Apr 19, agrarians have sown spring grains/leguminous at 5,850.000 ha (74% total planned).

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, as of Apr 13, spring barley was sown at 4,062.000 ha (100% total planned).

As to State Statistic Committee, 2006 barley crop totaled 11,341.200 MT; barley was harvested at 5,236.200 ha.
